+ Is the scanner easy to use?
Yes, the scanner is easy to use, but most people require about 7 tries to get acquainted with the best techniques. After a short amount of practice, you will be an expert.
+ Can I scan cranial?
No, cranial is not available yet, but we are working towards adding this feature.
+ Can the limb/body part move during capture?
If the body part has excessive movement relative to another captured shape within the scan, the scan may produce a double image.
+ What file types does the scanner save after it captures the shape?
The scanners let’s you save files as an .stl or .obj
+ Why do I have to use the iPhone’s front-camera?
The Comb App utilizes the iPhone’s TrueDepth Sensor that is embedded in the front of the iPhone. Not only does this allow the app to capture accurate 3D models with color, but over time, simplifies the scanning experience.
+ How do I share a scan after a download?
You can share a scan after download by attaching the raw .STL or .OBJ file to an email. Or, you can compress the 3D scan file into a .ZIP file.
+ How can I convert a file type of a Comb Scan?
You can convert the file type of the Comb Scan using free online tools like MeshMixer. Or, you can change the filetype save settings within the Comb iOS App.
+ How can I rescale a Comb Scan?
