Comb Launch Update

The Comb team has been hard at work creating the latest in scanning technology for O&P and we are excited to announce the finishing touches are being made. Building on a successful introduction at the AAOP conference in Chicago in March, we are looking forward to opening the gates to all users in the coming weeks.

Current Importance of Digital

The current global pandemic has kept the majority of the industry at home, not seeing patients and not fabricating orthoses. While a portion of patient care will always require an element of hands-on interaction, the potential to shift fabrication into the digital workflow has never been more relevant.

As we distance ourselves from one another, our beta users have been able to continue scanning and fabricating. While daily patient volume has decreased almost entirely, our betas testers have been scanning casts and plaster molds from previous patients and preparing those scans for fabrication for the purpose of testing. While most of us are experiencing a temporarily new “normal” – the door has been opened to see what we can get done as a profession digitally.

Beta Testing

Comb completed a successful Alpha testing round shortly after the new year. Since then, a number of beta testers have been rigorously and meticulously testing every aspect of the app. These tests led to a number of product augmentations that have dramatically improved user experience and interaction with the technology – changes that we are excited to roll out on our official launch.

At this time, we will be wrapping up final tests with our beta users this month (April) in preparation for our official launch.

Launch Goal

We have been anxiously awaiting the full launch of Comb. We believe that the industry has never been more prepared for this technology and the need exists for an easy to use, portable and accurate scanner.

As our beta concludes and we put the finishing touches on the interface, we anticipate that Comb will be available late spring. At that time, a Free 10-Day trial will be available to anyone who has signed up for a PreRelease Trial. This will give all users the opportunity to test the technology with full access to the tools and to our support team to see how dramatically the digital workflow will affect their day-to-day care of patients and fabrication.

10-Day Trial Available

Our 10-Day Trial is designed to give users full access to Comb prior to making a purchasing decision. During this time, users will receive helpful and instructional information via email to make the onboarding process as smooth as possible. As a trial participant, users will also have access to a daily live-webinar that takes participants through a live demonstration and highlights best practices. There will also be time to ask questions during these sessions.

Users will also have access to support, so our team will be standing by to help answer any questions that may come up during the trial.

Our goal is to make scanning technology as accessible as possible to the industry and we understand this may be the first time most individuals use a scanner. With that in mind, our trial and user experience is designed to guide the user through as much of the process and technology as possible – while also being a quick email away for support if needed.

Questions? We’re Standing By

We’ve accumulated hundreds of interested individuals who are anxiously awaiting the release of Comb just as we are. We want to take this opportunity to hear from you. If you have any questions or comments related to 3D scanning, the product, or the digital workflow please send us an email at info@combscan.com and a member of our team will be in touch.
